With TRAVLER you can create a travel journal with your photos, videos and texts for your friends and family. It can be published as a personal web page with your impressions for the friends you invited. Of course there's always a local version on your device for your own pleasure.
We know you're having a great trip and don't you want to be bothered by instructions.
That's why we keep it simple. We take you by the hand.
Just start your TRAVLER and show your unique experiences, even if you never had an iPhone/iPad in your hand.

Yes you can. You can start or edit your journal while offline, e.g. during a flight or while on location. It will be created and saved on your iPhone/iPad and you can upload it and let your friends know as soon as you have an Internet connection.
The entries of your journal are ordered by date automatically. You cannot order them manually. TRAVLER uses the date and time you started the entry. You may edit these and therefore change the order.
Yes. Your journals sit locally on your iPhone/iPad. Just upload the edited version and the web presentation is automatically updated.
As soon as your selected photos/videos will be visible within your entry, just drag & drop them to your favorite position.
Although there's no limit, be careful not to exceed the amount of free space on your device. You may delete a local journal after uploading it to the server, but then again there's no way to get it back on your device. Make a note of the URL of your online journal.
The upload of your journal may have been interrupted. Please check your network connection and battery status.
- Check Preview and see if your journal is complete.
- If so, go to "Your Journals" and delete your journal on the server only.
- Upload your journal again.
- Share your journal again, since your online journal has a new URL now.
We do have a limit per upload, but not for the total amount of photos/videos in your journal.
Try to upload your journal as soon and as often as possible. It will save time for your next uploads, which are done incrementally.
Don't upload several or long videos at once, since you will easily reach the upload limit, but do it in upload steps with one or a few videos at a time.
If you did a backup of your device some time after you started your journal, you may restore your backup from iTunes or iCloud.
Yes , if it's running iOS 10 or newer, you can with just a bit of fiddling while online:
- Upload your journal first.
- Tap the "upload & share" button to copy the URL.
- Paste the URL in Safari on your iPhone/iPad.
- Scroll down once to the end of the page, so all images will be visible.
- Select "Print" in the action menu, where you'll see a preview.
- Zoom the preview with your fingers.
- Send or save the PDF.
Only your texts and photos will be saved in the PDF.
TRAVLER is optimized for iOS 10, but runs on iOS 8 with iPhone5 and newer as well as iPads.
Sure you can, although we think with horizontal(landscape) photos your journal just looks better.
No. The TRAVLER app creates its own Resized and compressed copies from your photos/videos in the Camera Roll. The original ones are not changed.
You might even delete the original photos/videos to save space on your device, but there's no way you can export content from the TRAVLER app back into the Camera Roll.
No need to register. Neither you, nor your friends. The login data for the web and the TRAVLER app are set automatically and safe. No manual log-ins. Since for us you're anonymous, personal registration data cannot be shared.
We do offer an option to get the URL's of your uploaded journals in case you deleted the app without a backup, as all local journals and its data would be lost.
TRAVLER generates a unique webaddress (URL) for each of your journals (In-App only), which is not indexed by Google etc. Send the URL to your friends, who just have to open the URL in a web browser to see your journal online.
With TRAVLER we tried to detach ourselves from the world of social media and focus a little more on the people in it. That's why we recommend sending the URL by email or text message.
Unfortunately not. We want you to easily write your journal without being distracted by "features" and forgetting the purpose of your trip.
Yes, TRAVLER is free as long as you keep your journals locally on your iPhone/iPad. If you want to publish your journals on the web (you also want to show it to your friends, don't you?), unlock Sharing for the price of a cappuccino. This includes publication of your journals for the period of 1 year from the time you made the In-App purchase. Your journals will stay online as long as you wish.
